The new trailer for Overwatch Season 3 titled Into the Tiger’s Den has launched a season that sends players into a city balancing beauty and collapse, where neon lights cut through smoke while old grudges, criminal empires, and rising ambitions grow beneath the surface.
At the center is Shion, leader of the Hashimoto Clan and one of the most dangerous new Heroes emerging under Talon’s growing influence. Once captured and used as a training tool, she is now free and rules the streets with confidence and excess. Her kit focuses on aggressive mobility, constant pressure, dual pistols, dashes, and even a motorcycle that can be thrown into combat as a weapon.
The season introduces the new Hybrid map Neon Junction set in neon lit Tokyo streets filled with arcades, shops, and hidden alleys. Teams fight to capture objectives and escort the payload deeper into Hashimoto territory while uncovering the city’s hidden layers.
A three week narrative event called Anima Strike runs from June 16 to July 6, featuring daily and weekly challenges, branching paths across the map, over 50 rewards, and a prestige track for additional progression.
Community Crafted returns with creators Guxue, Ocie, Apply, and mL7support contributing experimental hero changes. Highlights include a more aggressive Reinhardt, reworked Baptiste mechanics, a stronger B.O.B. presence for Ashe, and a return to Sombra’s disruptive flanker identity.
Hero Select has been redesigned with improved navigation, role filters, faster access to cosmetics, and clearer role and sub role information.
Two Mythic rewards headline the season, Ascendant Phoenix Illari with multiple evolution tiers and Tokyo Rebel Hanzo with progressive weapon effects, animations, and visual upgrades.
The Excavation Initiative event rewards active play with loot boxes earned through logins, challenges, and matches, offering up to 17 boxes plus Epic and Legendary ones.
Stadium receives a major update with broad hero rebalances, removal of ranked grouping restrictions, and the addition of Oasis University to the map pool.
The Battle Pass celebrates summer festivals with skins such as Summer Festival, Matsuri, Vigilante Genji, and others, alongside up to 80 Mythic Prisms.
New Ultra Skins introduce premium audio and visual effects starting with Nyan Café Kiriko and Sierra.
Seasonal collections include Nyan Café with playful cat themed cosmetics and Street Rebels combining street fashion with oni inspired aesthetics. Season 3 focuses on a city that changes people, exploring identity, loyalty, and the connections that hold heroes together when everything else falls apart.
As a Reminder, The Phoenix Arms esports-themed pub to open in London ahead of the VALORANT Masters final.
