CD Projekt RED has shared its first half-year results, highlighting the performance of its franchises, the response to its gamescom 2026 announcements, and plans for upcoming projects.
The Witcher:
• Songs of the Past has been added to wishlists by more than 900,000 users across all platforms.
• Its trailer surpassed 3 million views within its first three hours.
• The Witcher 3 remaster was the most mentioned gamescom opening announcement on social media on August 25 and 26, while Songs of the Past ranked second.
• The Witcher franchise has sold more than 90 million copies, with 65 million coming from The Witcher 3.
Cyberpunk 2077:
• Phantom Liberty has sold over 15 million copies in less than three years since launch.
• Cyberpunk 2077 has now surpassed 40 million copies sold.
• The Cyberpunk card game became the most-funded gaming project in Kickstarter history.
• The second season of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners will premiere on Netflix on October 20.
CD Projekt RED’s plans:
The Witcher 3 Remastered will launch on September 29 with both expansions and a wide range of technical and gameplay improvements. Songs of the Past is planned for 2027, while The Witcher IV is scheduled for 2028, with Ciri as its main protagonist.
As of July 31, CD Projekt RED employed 1,045 people. A total of 519 are working on The Witcher IV, 184 on Cyberpunk 2, 196 in support divisions, 84 on Sirius, 33 on Hadar, and 30 on other tasks.
