Crystal Dynamics has officially confirmed that Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis has been pushed back to February 12, 2027. The announcement was made during the latest State of Play presentation, where the studio also revealed the first gameplay footage of the remake of the original 1996 Tomb Raider.
The game was previously expected to launch in 2026, as referenced in Embracer's financial reports. However, the developers have now opted for a later release date. Industry speculation suggests the delay may also help the game avoid competition from major upcoming releases, including GTA 6.
The remake is being developed on Unreal Engine 5 by Crystal Dynamics and Flying Wild Hog. The developers promise far more than a visual overhaul, delivering a fully reimagined adventure with significantly larger environments, enhanced exploration, redesigned puzzles, and modern gameplay elements, while preserving the atmosphere and spirit of the original game.
Pre-orders are now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam.
The game will be available in three editions:
Standard Edition
- Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis
- Full digital game download
- Survivor Outfit (pre-order bonus)
Deluxe Edition
- Everything included in the Standard Edition
- 48-hour Early Access (pre-order bonus)

Collector's Edition
