Ubisoft Faces Internal Revolt Amid Restructuring

Following the announcement of a major restructuring, Ubisoft is facing open backlash from within the company. According to insider Tom Henderson, employees have stopped holding back and are openly criticizing upper management in internal communication channels while demanding meaningful change.

Henderson notes that this level of public and concentrated frustration is highly unusual for a corporation of Ubisoft’s size. Many developers are already preparing to leave or actively seeking new jobs rather than waiting for official layoffs.

«Following the announcement of Ubisoft’s restructuring and third round of cost cutting measures, Ubisoft’s internal communication channels are full of employees shaming upper management and asking for change», — said Tom Henderson.

He adds that some staff members have described the situation as «the final nail in the coffin», prompting them to look for work elsewhere, while others are accelerating contingency plans in case they are laid off.

«Ubisoft is going to experience a massive exodus of talent, even without the impending layoffs», — Henderson emphasizes.

Amid the internal turmoil, Ubisoft’s shares have fallen to their lowest level in a decade. Reports suggest that more than 2,000 employees could be at risk, while a growing number of developers are choosing to leave the company on their own terms rather than wait for what comes next.
