The film studio Universal Pictures has released the first trailer for the animated feature Shrek 5. The official release date is set for June 30, 2027.
According to the trailer’s synopsis, in the new installment Shrek, Fiona, Donkey, and their now-adult children find themselves behind bars.
The original voice cast is returning to reprise their iconic roles:
- Mike Myers (Shrek)
- Eddie Murphy (Donkey)
- Cameron Diaz (Fiona)
The grown-up children Felicia, Fergus, and Farkle will be voiced by new actors joining the franchise:
- Zendaya
- Marcello Hernandez (Saturday Night Live)
- Skyler Gisondo (Superman, Meet the Fockers 3)
