During the recent PlayStation State of Play presentation, Sony officially announced Until Dawn 2. The sequel to the acclaimed cinematic horror game is scheduled to launch in 2027, more than a decade after the release of the original title.
Development is being handled by Firesprite, the studio known for creating Horizon Call of the Mountain and contributing to one of the game modes in Star Citizen.
The story follows a group of self-proclaimed “ghost hunters” who fake their paranormal content. However, during one of their expeditions, they make a critical mistake and come face-to-face with a genuine deadly threat.
According to the developers, the sequel will retain the franchise’s signature survival-horror formula, placing a strong emphasis on instinctive player decisions and branching consequences.
As a reminder, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis has officially been delayed until February 2027.
