Sprites have arrived in Fortnite Reload with the Springfield Reloaded map, giving players a new collectible to hunt for during matches. If you've spotted opponents carrying a Sprite or managed to find the John Wick Sprite yourself, here's what is currently available in the mode.
Which Sprites Are Available
At the moment, the only Sprite you can obtain in Fortnite Reload is the John Wick Sprite. It is guaranteed to appear inside Sprite Chests on every Reload map. In addition, it also has a chance to drop from regular Chests and Rare Chests, giving players more opportunities to find one.
No other Sprites are officially available in the mode. However, shortly after the update launched, a bug allowed bots to spawn carrying rare Sprites, including the Earth Sprite, Water Sprite, Fire Sprite, Air Sprite, and Fishy Sprite. Players could collect them during matches, but this behavior was unintentional.
How to Extract a Sprite
Extracting a Sprite in Fortnite Reload works much like it does in Battle Royale, although there is one major difference. Since Reload maps do not feature standard Extractors, you must use a Reload Portable Extractor to add a Sprite to your collection.
You can obtain a Reload Portable Extractor by:
- finding one as ground loot or inside Chests
- purchasing one from a Vending Machine for 50 Gold
Once you have the item, it will occupy an inventory slot. Equip it and hold the Use button while the Sprite is on your back to extract it.
Can You Bring Sprites into Fortnite Reload
Currently, you cannot bring any Sprite into Fortnite Reload, including the John Wick Sprite. The mode does not allow players to select a Sprite before a match begins.
This may change in a future update, potentially allowing players to bring the John Wick Sprite into matches. For now, the only way to get a Sprite in Fortnite Reload is to find one while playing.
