Wilderdark announced as a stealth horror about surviving among infected dinosaurs

British studio Team Junkfish has revealed its new project Wilderdark. The game is a first person stealth horror with survival elements.

Alongside the announcement, the developers released a debut trailer that highlights its core ideas. Players will face dinosaurs infected with parasites, while the gameplay draws clear inspiration from Outlast with its reliance on a video camera.

Wilderdark has been in development for over three years. The full release is planned for this year, and a playable demo will arrive on Steam starting May 7.

Senior marketing manager at Team Junkfish Ellie Gibbs commented:

«We kept Wilderdark secret for more than three years and are thrilled to finally reveal it. We have worked hard on the project and are now ready to share a game that brings us back to the kind of horror our community has been asking for. The demo is just the beginning… jump in next week and see what was lurking in the dark».

The story takes place on a mysterious island where the protagonist arrives on behalf of a secret organization in search of immortality. While dinosaurs roam the land, the true threat comes from strange ectoparasites that control both creatures and plant life.

At the beginning, the player has almost no equipment and must rely on stealth to survive. Exploration, documenting events on camera, and crafting basic tools become essential. Any careless move can lead to a deadly encounter with dinosaurs.

For now, Wilderdark is planned for PC only and will launch on Steam.

As a Reminder, Metro 2039 Added to Steam Wishlist One Million Times.
