Esports organization Wolves Esports has opened a new esports arena in Chongqing, China. The total investment in the project amounted to about 200 million yuan (approximately $27 million).
The venue, called Wolves Competition Center, will serve as the home arena for the team competing in the professional Honor of Kings league. The arena covers an area of 9,700 square meters. The hall is designed for 2,000 spectators, with seating on the main floor, upper tiers, and in dedicated VIP zones.
Inside, a modular stage of more than 300 square meters has been installed, which can be reconfigured for different events. The arena also features more than 370 square meters of LED screens (9 displays in total), as well as professional broadcasting and content production equipment.
The project was funded and built by the Bishan District government as part of a public-private partnership. An additional 10 million yuan for upgrading the team infrastructure and the new venue was provided by local investors, including Chongqing Green Development Group.
