The organizers of the 47th Sports Emmy Awards — the sports equivalent of the Emmy Awards — have announced nominees across various categories.
In the category “Outstanding Esports Championship Coverage,” the contenders include two events each from ESL FACEIT Group and Riot Games. The nominees are:
- 2025 Apex Legends Global Series Championship
- 2025 Call of Duty League Championship Weekend (OpTic Texas vs Vancouver Surge; ESL FACEIT Group)
- League of Legends Worlds 2025 Final (T1 Esports vs KT Rolster; LoL Esports [Riot Games])
- VALORANT Champions 2025 Grand Final (NRG vs Fnatic; Valorant Esports [Riot Games])
The awards ceremony will take place in May this year.
