The Credit Union of Texas Event Center in Allen, Texas, hosted the latest matches of the 2026 League of Legends World Championship Swiss stage. Following these series, Top Esports (TES) guaranteed their spot in the quarterfinals, while Karmine Corp (KC) kept their playoff hopes alive, ending CTBC Flying Oyster's (CFO) tournament run.
In a tense series for a quarterfinal berth, the LPL's third seed, TES, defeated the second seed, BLG, with a 2-1 score. The series started with BLG's domination; after winning a massive dragon fight at the 18-minute mark, they built a 10,000 gold lead and confidently took the first game.
However, TES managed to turn the tide. Game 2 featured an extremely cautious macro style from both sides. Despite BLG having an early advantage and securing the first three dragons, TES successfully punished their opponent for invading too deeply into their jungle, picking up four kills and securing the Baron to tie the series. The decisive third game also started cautiously, but a successful Pantheon ultimate in the bottom lane secured TES a victory in a key teamfight. Seizing the initiative, TES extended their gold lead to 5,000 by the 17-minute mark, later took the Baron, and completely routed their opponents.
In an elimination match (1-2 bracket), the European squad Karmine Corp swept CFO 2-0. In Game 1, KC demonstrated total dominance: winning a series of teamfights, they built an 8,000 gold lead by 20 minutes and closed out the game in just 27 minutes with a crushing 19-3 kill score.
Game 2 proved much more difficult for the Europeans. Thanks to Doggo's aggressive play on Caitlyn, CFO seized the early initiative, destroying three towers by the 18-minute mark and pulling ahead by 4,000 gold. The turning point was the pick on CFO's main carry in the jungle near the Baron pit. Even after CFO claimed the Dragon Soul, Karmine Corp won the decisive teamfights in the mid lane by neutralizing the opponent's primary damage dealers.
With these results, TES joins the quarterfinalists, while Karmine Corp improves their record to 2-2, continuing their fight for the playoffs. For CFO, the 2026 World Championship is officially over.
