Microsoft may be planning a surprising move to make Xbox Game Pass more appealing by adding World of Warcraft to the subscription.
Windows Central journalist Jez Corden reported that the company is considering giving Game Pass Ultimate subscribers access to one of the world's most popular MMORPGs.
After the recent price increase, Game Pass Ultimate costs $30 per month, which many gamers see as expensive. Corden suggests that besides WoW, other subscriptions could be added, such as Fallout First for Fallout 76 and Minecraft Realms for the Bedrock edition of Minecraft.
So far this is just a rumor, and many gamers remain skeptical since similar reports about WoW have never been confirmed. Additionally, a monthly WoW subscription costs $15, and players believe Microsoft might raise the price of Ultimate to cover costs, as happened with Fortnite and Ubisoft+.
New subscriptions in Ultimate
On the Xbox Two podcast, Jez Corden mentioned that Microsoft could include World of Warcraft, Fallout 1st, and Minecraft Realms in Game Pass Ultimate to justify the $30 monthly fee.
As a Reminder, Daniel Vávra leaves the position of creative director.
