Xbox Introduces Buy Now, Pay Later Option for Consoles

Xbox has started rolling out a new "buy now, pay later" payment option on its website, giving more players the opportunity to purchase a console without paying the full amount upfront.

The feature was first discovered in the website's source code and is now beginning to appear for users. According to insider redphx, Xbox's backend references support for both PayPal and Klarna, although only the PayPal option appears to be active at the moment.

Customers can choose to split their purchase into four interest-free payments made every two weeks or finance the cost of their console over a period of up to 24 months.

The payment plan currently applies only to Xbox consoles. Accessories such as controllers and games are not eligible for the financing program.

With this addition, Microsoft aims to make buying a new or refurbished Xbox more accessible for customers who may find the upfront cost too expensive.
