Rockstar has enabled early preloading for GTA Online's upcoming Kortz Center Heist update ahead of its official July 14, 2026 release. At the moment, only PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S players can download the update files in advance.
Announced just a few days ago, the new Heist will task players with infiltrating a museum and stealing valuable artifacts. The mission can be completed solo, although it is designed to be more enjoyable with friends. Players will also need to purchase the Art Studio mansion expansion before they can access the new content.
The preload became available earlier than expected, allowing console players to have the update ready before launch and jump in as soon as it goes live. However, the content remains locked until the official release. PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One users will have to wait until launch day before they can download it.
The update's download size is relatively small. It requires around 1.9GB on PlayStation 5 and approximately 5.11GB on Xbox Series X/S. Once the files are installed, players can continue enjoying GTA Online normally while waiting for the update to unlock.
Kortz Center Heist is expected to be the final major GTA Online update before the launch of Grand Theft Auto VI, bringing an end to an era of major post launch content for the long running online title.
