Tomorrow, October 1, the offline Counter-Strike 2 tournament Stake Ranked Episode 4, organized by StarLadder, kicks off in Barcelona. The competition will run until October 4 and feature eight teams. The total prize pool is $100,000. The winner will claim the main prize of $25,000, the runner-up will earn $17,500, and $13,500 is reserved for third place.
The tournament will feature a Double-Elimination bracket format. All playoff matches, except for the Grand Final, will be played in a best-of-three format. The decisive match for the championship title will be a best-of-five series.
Special attention is drawn to the Ukrainian representatives at the tournament — teams B8 and Fnatic. B8 received a direct invite to the championship. Their roster consists entirely of Ukrainian players: npl, esenthial, alex666, kensizor, and s1zzi, led by coach Maddened. Fnatic qualified for the tournament through the closed qualifiers. Their squad is also completely staffed by Ukrainian esports athletes, including fear, jambo, jackasmo, cairne, and mazay, with Independent coaching the team.
B8 will officially open the tournament: they will face Luminosity in the Upper Bracket Quarterfinals. This match will start on October 1 at 13:00 Kyiv time. Later that day, at 15:30, Fnatic will play their opening quarterfinal match against BIG.
