Esports organization BC.Game has officially announced the benching of Denis "electroNic" Sharipov. According to sources, his place will soon be taken by THUNDER dOWNUNDER player Tyson "asap" Paterson.
The key goal of these changes is to transition to an Asian core roster, which will significantly increase the team's chances of qualifying for the upcoming PGL Singapore Major. The deadline for sending out tournament invitations is scheduled for early November, which forced the management to act quickly.
Valve's Regional Standings (VRS) statistics fully explain the rationale behind this move. With 1,191 points, BC.Game is ranked only 36th in Europe, where the top 18 teams secure tournament spots. In contrast, in the Asian region, this same number of points secures the team fourth place and guarantees entry into the top five invited rosters. Currently, BC.Game Esports' chances of qualifying for the Major (Stage 1) are estimated at 86.2%.
BC.Game CEO Ali Muhanned emphasized that the decision was dictated solely by the project's tournament ambitions. He also refuted social media rumors regarding Sharipov's toxicity, noting that electroNic was one of the most important players and always maintained a positive atmosphere within the team.
"This has nothing to do with electroNic himself. If we had more time before the Major, I would definitely have given him more time, as the team is still very new," Muhanned concluded.
