BLAST Premier Open Ulaanbaatar Announced

The capital of Mongolia, Ulaanbaatar, has been officially confirmed as the venue for the second championship of the BLAST Open series in 2027. The large-scale event with a $1.25 million prize pool is scheduled to take place from May 10 to May 23.

A total of 16 teams will participate in the competition. The organizers have allocated 11 direct invites for the leaders of the Valve Regional Standings. Teams will fight for the remaining 5 spots in qualifying tournaments in Asia, Europe, North America, and South America.

For the tournament operator, this will be the first experience hosting a full-fledged tier-1 championship in Mongolia. Previously, BLAST's presence in this country was limited to co-hosting qualification matches for the BLAST Open London in 2025.

The company's official statement emphasizes that this choice of venue is part of a new global concept for BLAST Premier in 2027 — going beyond familiar esports locations and opening up new regions. Earlier, as part of this course, tournaments in Singapore, Rio de Janeiro, Hong Kong, and Malta had already been announced.
