Dplus League of Legends head coach Kim 'cvMax' Dae-ho has received an official warning from the organization’s management. The disciplinary action was issued in response to inappropriate comments with sexual undertones made during a post-match interview following the team’s elimination from the LCK Road to MSI.
In the decisive match, Dplus lost to KT Rolster by a score of 3–2. When asked by a journalist how he felt after losing the lead in one of the games, cvMax responded with an analogy that drew criticism for its inappropriate sexual reference.
On Monday morning, Dplus released an official statement apologizing to fans and members of the esports industry for the coach’s behavior. The organization emphasized that it takes communication standards seriously and recognizes its social responsibility when interacting with the media. Kim Dae-ho fully acknowledged his mistake and is currently reflecting on his actions.
To prevent similar incidents in the future, Dplus announced the following measures:
- Internal disciplinary action against the head coach.
- Additional training for cvMax focused on professional ethics and media communication.
- A comprehensive review and strengthening of the organization’s internal media communication policies.
- Regular training sessions for staff on responsible media engagement and personal social media conduct.
As a reminder, Jason Momoa has left the cast of the Helldivers movie adaptation.
