It Takes Two could launch on Nintendo Switch 2 this October

Hazelight Studios' award winning co op hit It Takes Two may soon make its way to the Nintendo Switch 2. According to preliminary information, the enhanced version of the 2021 Game of the Year winner could be released on Nintendo's new console on October 15, 2026.

It Takes Two originally launched in March 2021 for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox before arriving on the original Nintendo Switch the following year. The game follows Cody and May, a married couple who are transformed into dolls by a magical spell cast by their daughter. To return to their normal lives, the two must work together and overcome a series of challenges while attempting to repair their relationship.

A document from Hong Kong distributor Prowell Asia reportedly lists October 15 as the release date for It Takes Two on Nintendo Switch 2. Nintendo and Hazelight have not officially confirmed the port, so the reported date should be treated as unconfirmed for now.

The Switch 2 version is expected to feature improved visuals, a higher resolution, and better performance. The document reportedly states that the game will be sold on a physical game card, while around 12.1 GB of free storage will be required for installation.

The new version is reportedly set to support English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, French, Italian, German, Portuguese, and Spanish. The price has not been revealed yet.
