GamingBolt described the game as the perfect way to fill the gap while fans wait for the next major Batman release. The outlet called it “a project made by fans for fans” that “takes the best elements from Batman games and exceeds expectations in nearly every area.”
According to SpazioGames, the title feels both like the culmination of TT Games’ twenty-year LEGO formula and an attempt to evolve beyond it. The reviewers noted that the game does more than simply repeat familiar ideas, instead trying to rebuild them into “a true Batman experience.”
TrueGaming highlighted the game’s comedic tone and the large number of references to Batman comics, movies, and TV series. However, the review also pointed out that the series still lacks major innovation, with many activities remaining too similar to previous LEGO games.
