League of Legends Patch 26.17 will officially hit the live servers on Wednesday, August 26, 2026. The developers plan to release the subsequent patch on September 10.
Currently, there are no specific leaks regarding champion stat changes or system updates, but Riot Games is expected to continue balancing the bot lane meta. Following Patch 26.16, which increased the magic resistance of traditional marksmen to counter mages and adjusted the support item gold generation system to discourage early-game map roaming, the development team will focus on further tweaking this dynamic and buffing underperforming champions.
The main highlight of Update 26.17 will be the release of three new skins, the details of which have already been officially confirmed. Players will receive one legendary skin dedicated to charity, and two epic skins from the Sunkissed Summer skinline:
- Heartsong Seraphine (Legendary, 1820 RP): Between August 26 and September 23, 100% of the proceeds from the sale of this skin will go to the Riot Games Social Impact Fund. The company also commits to doubling the raised amount with its own funds.
- Ocean Song Jinx (Epic, 1350 RP): According to the lore, Jinx is a pyrotechnic artist of anarchy who crashes the Ocean Song Festival uninvited to cause chaos. The skin includes new sound and visual effects, as well as a new recall animation. Her basic attacks are replaced by water splashes, rockets become naval mines, her W ability shoots a starfish, her traps (E) look like clams/shellfish, and her ultimate ability is a large mechanical pufferfish.
- Ocean Song Soraka (Epic, 1350 RP): This skin presents Soraka as the festival's headlining vocalist who returned to support other artists. Like the Jinx skin, it features updated visual and sound effects. Her basic attacks and Q ability take the form of shells, her healing ability (W) has become "watery," and her E ability turns into a whirlpool (rooted enemies are surrounded by fish silhouettes). Her ultimate also incorporates water and fish visual elements around healed allies.
Both epic skins use the standard voicelines and interactions of their base champion versions. All the new additions will become available for purchase simultaneously with the patch release on August 26.
