Riot temporarily removes Neon from VALORANT — developers promise character changes

Riot Games announced that the agent Neon has been disabled in VALORANT matches. The decision was made due to a critical bug involving her Fast Lane ability, which affects competitive integrity.

Neon is expected to return with patch 12.09. The developers promised not only to fix the exploit, but also to nerf some of her overly powerful abilities.

“We recently discovered a visual exploit with Neon’s Fast Lane ability that impacts competitive integrity, so we are disabling her on PC from now until patch 12.09 in order to fix the bug.

We’ve also been working for some time on changes to Neon to address parts of her kit that are overly powerful, and those updates will go live when she returns in 12.09. More details from our developers tomorrow.”

Reminder: Riot Games recently announced a new season of the women’s League of Legends competition, Game Changers: Rising.
