The development of GTA 6 is being protected by extraordinary security measures. Rockstar North's headquarters in Scotland has reportedly been surrounded by a security operation that resembles the protection of a government facility more than that of a game studio.
The details were shared by Otesi Oyunculuk, who previously staged a peaceful protest outside Rockstar North's office calling for Turkish language support in the upcoming game. While staying near the studio, the group closely observed the security arrangements surrounding the highly anticipated title.
According to their observations, the building has effectively become a fortress. A police vehicle with sirens reportedly drives past the studio every 20 to 30 minutes, maintaining a visible law enforcement presence. Senior staff members and key developers were also seen leaving the office in taxis accompanied by police escorts.
The area is monitored by an estimated 50 to 60 CCTV cameras, while a team of three to four security guards patrols the main entrance around the clock.
The group also claims that police units occasionally join private security patrols. According to their report, the studio is being protected under a special security program implemented with the support of the Scottish government.
Such strict precautions are understandable given GTA 6's status as one of the most anticipated entertainment products ever created, as well as Rockstar Games' experience with a major data leak in the past. The company appears determined to avoid any similar incidents as development enters its final stages.
