PlayStation 5 owners will be able to dive into the world of Starfield on April 7. Those who pre-ordered the game will gain access to download it starting April 5. On this occasion, PlayStation Game Size reported that the game’s version for Sony’s console will take up 123.347 GB in version 01.000.001.
Earlier, the PlayStation Game Size account on X, which tracks PlayStation Store database updates, shared technical details about the release. The base version of the game will require around 123 GB of free space, excluding additional content.
The insider also noted that the story expansion Shattered Space will take up about 12 GB of storage, while the Terran Armada pack will require roughly 4 GB of SSD space.
In the comments, users reacted actively to these requirements. Some gamers said they are planning to clear space on their drives by deleting large titles like Call of Duty to install the new release. Others expressed dissatisfaction that developers from Xbox Game Studios and Bethesda did not use Kraken compression technology to reduce the game’s size on PlayStation 5.
