The French roster 3DMAX claimed the championship title at the Logitech G Play Connect 2026 Counter-Strike 2 LAN tournament, which took place in Warsaw from September 17 to 23. For their victory, the team received the main prize of $40,000 from the total prize pool of $100,000. This triumph also earned the squad 214 Valve points, allowing them to climb to the 18th spot in the European rankings and enter the qualification zone for the PGL Major Singapore.
3DMAX's path to the trophy was challenging. After a tough group stage, where the team finished second due to a three-way tie with BBL and EYEBALLERS (and losses to Inner Circle and Team Liquid), the French squad stepped up in the playoffs. In the quarterfinals and semifinals, they defeated M80 and IC Esports respectively, closing out both Bo3 series with a 2-1 score.
The Bo5 grand final against Luminosity at the EXPO XXI Warsaw arena lasted almost seven hours and became a true test of endurance. 3DMAX won the first two maps, but Luminosity nearly pulled off a reverse sweep, taking the next two. The fate of the title was decided on the final map, Nuke, where the French side snatched the victory in overtime.
The main star of the match was Bryan "Maka" Canda, who finished the series with a 111-82 K-D and the highest rating of 1.32.
This victory marked 3DMAX's second trophy this month following their success at NODWIN Clutch Series 11. The team's strong performances come amid active rumors of the roster's imminent transition under the wing of the North American organization Envy, which already hinted at its return to the discipline with a post on X immediately after the final. The roster will kick off their next campaign this Friday in Belgrade at the 1win Private Club Season 1 tournament.
It is worth noting the confident performance of Ukrainian teams B8 and IC Esports at the tournament, who shared the 3rd-4th place finish and earned $10,000 each in prize money.
Both teams demonstrated excellent results in the group stage. B8 flawlessly won Group A, finishing without a single loss with a 5-0 record and earning 15 points. In turn, IC Esports topped the Group B standings, securing four wins with one loss (4-1) and gathering 12 points.
First place in their respective groups secured both rosters direct tickets to the playoff semifinals; however, they failed to advance to the decisive title match. B8 fell to Luminosity 0-2 in the semifinals, while IC Esports suffered a 1-2 defeat in a tense matchup against the eventual champions, 3DMAX.
