From July 30 to August 2, 2026, Paris will host the offline S-Tier tournament Warzone Resurgence Series 2026 Championship as part of the Esports World Cup. The event is organized by the Esports Foundation, ESL FACEIT Group, and Activision. The total prize pool for the championship is $1,000,000 USD.
All tournament matches will be played in Resurgence mode. The competition structure is divided into three main stages:
- Group Stage: 32 teams are split into two groups of 16 teams. Each group will play 12 matches. The top 5 teams from each group advance directly to the Finals, while the teams finishing 6th–13th head to the Survival stage.
- Survival Stage: Consists of 10 matches, after which the top 6 teams secure spots in the Finals.
- Finals: Played using the Match Point format with no match limit. A team reaching the specified point threshold gains "Match Point Eligible" status. The 2026 champion will be the first team with this status to win a subsequent match.
The $1,000,000 USD prize pool will be distributed among all 32 participants. The tournament winner will receive $250,000 and 1,000 Club Points, the runner-up $150,000 (750 Club Points), and third place $100,000 (500 Club Points). Additionally, the tournament features a dedicated Most Valuable Player (MVP) award of $25,000.
A total of 32 teams are participating in the tournament. Twisted Minds received a direct invitation, while the remaining 31 participants earned their spots through qualifiers (including Team Falcons, FaZe Clan, G2 Esports, Fnatic, Team Vitality, Ninjas in Pyjamas, and others).
Overall, 96 players are registered for the tournament, with the largest country representation coming from the United States (21 players / 22%), France (12 / 13%), Mexico (11 / 11%), the United Kingdom (9 / 9%), and Saudi Arabia (7 / 7%).
