Xbox Reassesses Its Exclusivity Strategy

Xbox’s new leadership has introduced an updated company mission, which includes a return to the brand’s historic name, a reassessment of its approach to exclusive games, and the launch of new hardware.

The Microsoft Gaming division will be renamed back to simply “Xbox.” New Xbox CEO Asha Sharma, along with Chief Content Officer Matt Booty, has set daily active players as the company’s new top priority.

Asha Sharma, who previously worked in artificial intelligence, assured that developers will not be forced to use generative AI in order to avoid “flooding the ecosystem with low-quality content.”

Xbox also plans to stabilize the current Series console base, with the next major step being the release of Project Helix. This device is expected to lead in performance and will allow games to run from both consoles and PCs.

As a reminder, Ceb previously expressed frustration about not being selected as France’s coach for ENC 2026, though he later admitted he had missed the manager’s message.
