Sébastien “Ceb” Debs shared on his X page that he had been interested in coaching the French national Dota 2 team at the Esports Nations Cup 2026.
“So if I understand correctly, you’re lucky to have a French player with the greatest track record in Dota (me), and you don’t even try to contact me to ‘deliver results under this flag.’
It’s not just disrespectful to the legacy I’m leaving, it’s primarily disrespectful to what we are supposed to do there, on site, on stage, when representing our country.
Your policies truly have no limits. Not that I’m surprised, but at least avoid all this masquerade rhetoric about striving for international results,” Ceb wrote.
Later, France’s national team manager Bora “YellOwStaR” Kim responded to Ceb’s statement. He noted that he had messaged Ceb on X and also tried to contact him through other means, but received no reply from Debs.
Ceb later admitted that he had missed the message among others. However, he added that there were other ways to reach him through various contacts “if there was a real desire to give themselves the best chance at results. If the motives are different — that’s another matter.”
As a reminder, Lions Gaming secured bronze in the first season of the UNBROKEN UA league.
