The Head of FPS at 100 Thieves spoke about the difficult process of selecting a head coach and explained why the organization ultimately decided to go with gla1ve. According to him, the final decision was made together with rain after dozens of interviews with candidates.
Although the organization initially had a very strong interest in coolio, it was rain who, after several days of consideration, pushed for gla1ve. After speaking with him personally, there were no doubts left — gla1ve impressed with his vision and approach.
100 Thieves also highlighted coolio’s work at FUT. The coach was described as a “unicorn” on the scene, considering that he managed to work with a roster averaging 19 years of age and lead the team into the top 20 in CS2 in 2026. His ability to develop young talent was one of the reasons why 100 Thieves signed his assistant, zander, who joined from FUT and is already helping the players progress.
The organization also confirmed interest in dem0n and dziugss even before signing gla1ve. However, both players would not have been willing to leave FUT without their coach, as they did not want to move on without coolio. 100 Thieves noted that while they technically could have forced the transfers, they chose not to, in order to preserve the team’s culture.
100 Thieves emphasized that they have nothing but positive words for coolio, as well as for dem0n and dziugss, and wished the entire FUT team the best of luck going forward.
