1047 Games, the studio best known for developing Splitgate, has released the debut teaser trailer for its new project — a first-person shooter titled EMPULSE.
A full gameplay reveal is scheduled for Sunday, June 7, during the online PC Gaming Show presentation.
Set in the streets of Freehold, a restored district within a sprawling megacity, EMPULSE places players in the role of mercenaries fighting alongside their teams or against rival factions across multiple game modes.
The game's combat system is built around high mobility and environmental interaction. Players will be able to traverse maps using wall-running, grappling hooks, and holographic jump mechanics. In addition, special P.A.I.N.T. bombs will allow players to alter the properties of surfaces across the battlefield, creating new tactical opportunities.
Another key feature is the use of heavily armed mechanical suits, or mechs, each equipped with unique abilities. These powerful machines will periodically spawn on the map every few minutes and are expected to play a major role in matches. Their inclusion has already drawn comparisons to the gameplay of the Titanfall series.
As previously reported, Bungie has launched a free access week for Marathon.
