A Russian propaganda game about Hostomel has appeared on Steam

A page for a Russian propaganda game titled Ukrainian Warfare: Gostomel Heroes has appeared on Steam. The developers promote Russian narratives by manipulating facts: Russian occupiers are portrayed as “good,” while Ukrainians are depicted as “enemies.”

The planned release date is March 24, 2026. The Ukrainian gaming community has already noticed the situation and launched a campaign of mass complaints to Steam administration demanding the game page be permanently removed from the store.

Any Steam user can join the campaign against the Russian game. To do this, you need to follow a few simple steps:

• Go to the game’s page on Steam.
• Find and click the flag icon (“Report”) on the right side of the screen.
• In the form that appears, choose the reason “Defamation” or “Violation of law.”
• In the text field, describe the reason for the complaint in detail.

You can use the following text for the complaint: “Discrimination against Ukrainians, propaganda of Russian fascism, justification of the war against Ukraine, manipulation of historical facts, and the use of the game as a propaganda tool.”
