Deformed cabinets in Resident Evil Requiem are special containers you will encounter at the beginning of the game in the Care Center while playing as Grace.
These wooden cabinets look swollen or warped, and they cannot be opened during her part of the game. To access their contents, you will need to wait until a later stage of the story when you take control of Leon. He can force open deformed cabinets and doors using his axe. By doing so, you will be able to collect useful resources, collectibles, and charms hidden inside.
In total, there are five deformed cabinets in the Care Center. All of them must be opened before you progress too far in the story at Victor's Office, otherwise you will pass the point of no return and lose access to them.
All deformed cabinets are located within the Care Center, mostly in the West Wing.
The first deformed cabinet can be found in the third-floor corridor that connects the Attic and the Attic Storage room. If you break it, you will receive a weapon compensator and a file containing the basement safe code.
This cabinet can be found in the corridor connecting the Bar and Lounge area with the Gallery. While moving through the corridor, check the corner near the wall where the hallway turns. Another landmark is the left end of the corridor after exiting the Chairman's Office. After breaking it with Leon’s axe, you will find the Dishwasher’s Note and shotgun shells inside.
The third deformed cabinet can be found in the Filing Room on the first floor. However, to access it, you must unlock this room earlier while playing as Grace using the Level 1 ID bracelet. After entering the small room inside the Filing Room, look along the right wall to find the deformed cabinet. Leon can break it to obtain 10 handgun rounds and a Medical Injector, which will be very useful in future encounters.
Another deformed cabinet is located in the Records Room on the second floor of the Care Center.
After entering the room, simply look behind the desk to spot the warped cabinet. This cabinet contains several valuable rewards, including a Mr. Raccoon collectible statue, 15 handgun rounds, and a herb mixture.
The last deformed cabinet can be found in the Pantry on the first floor. If the Pantry was not unlocked earlier during Grace’s segment, you will need to defeat the chef wandering nearby to obtain the Pantry key. After defeating him, unlock the Pantry and check along the left wall to find the deformed cabinet.
Inside, you will find the Amulet of the Scholar.
