The Esports World Cup Foundation has confirmed that an Apex Legends competition will take place at the Esports Nations Cup 2026. The tournament is scheduled for November 26-29.

The championship will begin with a group stage, where 40 teams will be divided into four groups of 10. After a series of six cross-group matches, the top 20 teams will advance to the final.

The event will use the “Match Point” format, similar to the Apex Legends Global Series (ALGS). Teams must reach a specific points threshold to become “match point eligible,” after which they need to win the next match to secure the title.

Half of the participating teams will qualify based on cumulative points earned by players from each country throughout the year in the official ALGS league.

Regional qualifiers will take place from August 1-2. The highest-placing teams from each region will earn the right to represent their country at the main event. The Americas region will receive six qualification spots, EMEA will have nine, and the Asia-Pacific region will receive three.

The inclusion of Apex Legends became possible thanks to cooperation between publisher Electronic Arts (EA) and the tournament organizers. In November 2025, EA became an official partner of the event alongside major companies such as KRAFTON, Ubisoft, and MOONTON.

As a reminder, Avowed has become available on PlayStation 5.
