Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced will be unveiled on April 23

Ubisoft has officially confirmed the presentation date for Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, a remake of the iconic 2013 pirate action game that is widely regarded as one of the best entries in the series despite its debated narrative.

As previously reported by insider Tom Henderson, the updated version will be showcased on April 23 at 18:00 CEST. A trailer will premiere on the publisher’s YouTube channel, followed by hands-on impressions and gameplay footage from journalists and content creators.

Henderson earlier shared several key details about the project:

• Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced is a full remake featuring modern visuals and updated mechanics
• The game is built on an upgraded version of the Anvil engine and will not release on last generation consoles
• Open world exploration has been improved while maintaining its original scale, with underwater activities becoming more diverse
• Players will be able to have a pet on their ship such as a cat or a monkey
• The remake will include a large amount of new content including story additions. New chapters, quests, and backstory elements will expand Edward Kenway’s narrative, introduce more crew members, and feature a storyline focused on escaped slaves known as Maroons

In addition, the developers are implementing seamless transitions between sea and land without loading screens. Modern day Abstergo office segments have been completely removed due to their less engaging gameplay, with the focus shifting instead to an expanded main story centered on Edward Kenway.
