Today marked the end of another day at ESL Pro League Season 23. Legacy, The MongolZ, and Aurora secured their spots in the playoffs, while paiN, B8, and FaZe were eliminated from the tournament.
NaVi showed some very strange Counter-Strike today, losing to a team ranked outside the HLTV Top 30. Because of this defeat, they dropped to the 2-2 pool and will now have one last chance to qualify for the playoffs. Legacy, on the other hand, have already secured their place on the arena stage and will play there later this week.
B8 and FUT Esports played a sort of “Ukrainian derby” today, with FUT Esports coming out on top. The Ukrainian club lost 0:2 and was eliminated from the tournament. FUT Esports will now play in the last-chance match for a spot in the playoffs.
FaZe are sending very clear signals that things are not going well for the team right now. They lost to Astralis in an elimination match today, marking the third consecutive tournament where FaZe finish in second-to-last place. This also puts the club at risk of missing the upcoming Major.
