The second season of Battlefield 6 is now live. Electronic Arts has released a major update adding a wealth of content to the multiplayer shooter aimed at bringing players back to the game.
Season 2 introduces several key additions, including the Contaminated map set on a NATO base in Germany, the temporary VL-7 Strike mode featuring psychoactive gas, and the Battle Royale mode Synthesis with infected zones. Players also gain access to the AH-6 Little Bird attack helicopter, M121 A2 machine gun, GRT-CPS semi-automatic rifle, and VCR-2 assault rifle.

Additionally, a new armored vehicle has been added, and the gadget list now includes the 9K38 IGLA surface-to-air missile system, HTI-Mk2 reconnaissance device, and protective masks for operations in infected areas within Synthesis mode.
The battle pass offers players a wide range of new rewards, including cosmetic items, and new content is prepared for the less popular Redsec mode.
It remains unclear whether the second season will revive the shooter’s popularity, but peak Steam player numbers have already exceeded 70,000, compared to the previous 40-50,000.

As a Reminder, Riot Games has released the patch notes for VALORANT 12.03.
