Activision has released the long-awaited PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 ports of the iconic shooters Call of Duty: Black Ops and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. As part of a special offer, PlayStation Plus subscribers can purchase each game for $20.
Developer Treyarch did not create full remasters or introduce major upgrades for these releases. Instead, both titles remain largely unchanged from their original versions, aside from basic technical improvements made possible by the more powerful hardware of modern PlayStation consoles.
The new ports do not support cross-generation multiplayer, meaning PlayStation 4 players cannot play online with PlayStation 5 users.
Alongside the releases, players can also purchase the complete Season Passes, which unlock all post-launch maps and additional content released for each game. Each Season Pass normally costs $30, but PS Plus subscribers receive an exclusive discount, reducing the price to $9.89 per pass.
