In Japan, a new online Street Fighter 6 tournament called Legacy Cup has been announced. The competition is specifically designed for players aged 40 and older.
Event sponsors have prepared some rather необычні prizes for participants. Top players will be able to receive vitamin D supplements, oral care products, and ready-made frozen meals, while the tournament’s MVP will be awarded a blood pressure monitor.
Initially planned for 128 participants, the tournament saw overwhelming demand, leading organizers to increase the cap first to 256 and then to 512 players.
The event is organized by Dr. REKKA, a well-known figure in the Japanese fighting game community and a licensed physician. During breaks between matches, Dr. REKKA will provide “medical commentary,” explaining gameplay moments from the perspective of health and physiology.
