Bungie has announced a free access week for its extraction shooter Marathon. The promotion coincides with the launch of the game's second season and will run from June 2 to June 9. The primary goal of the initiative is to expand the player base and renew interest in the project.
During the promotional period, the full version of Marathon will be available on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. All progress earned during the event will carry over into Season 2.
Unlike the previous beta test, which offered players a limited selection of maps and character skins and featured a complete progress reset before launch, the current promotion provides access to the full game experience.
Console players will still require an active subscription to their platform's online service in order to access multiplayer features, while participation on PC will be completely free.
As previously reported, Pearl Abyss is preparing downloadable content for Crimson Desert alongside several major updates.
