Chandler Riggs, best known for playing Carl Grimes in The Walking Dead, has expressed interest in adapting Resident Evil 7 and Resident Evil Village into an official series spanning two seasons. He recently released his own short film inspired by Resident Evil 7: Biohazard.
Titled Biohazard, the fan film features Riggs as Ethan Winters. He also wrote, directed, and edited the project. The production relies on practical sets, stunts, and special effects, with minimal visual effects. According to the film's YouTube description, no artificial intelligence was used during production.
Greg Nicotero, a special effects artist who also worked as a producer and director on The Walking Dead, contributed equipment for the film's practical effects.
Biohazard is available to watch on the Spooky Feet Films and Chandler Riggs YouTube channels.
Riggs previously appeared in another fan film, The Spider, playing Peter Parker. The short takes a body-horror approach to the Spider-Man concept and can be found on the locustgarden YouTube channel.
