The official national championship PMNC Bangladesh 2026: Fall has found itself at the center of an unprecedented scandal. Due to critical technical issues, accusations of fraud against the organizers, and a mass boycott by participants, the LAN finals were halted prematurely. The conflict culminated in the arrival of police at the venue, after which the tournament operator decided to move the decisive matches to an online format.
Issues at the tournament began with constant internet connection drops, which significantly hindered normal gameplay. The situation reached a point of no return during a match on the Rondo map, which had to be rehosted. Immediately afterward, a serious conflict arose regarding the points distribution system: following the disputed game, team A1 received 14 points—10 for eliminations and a 4th-place finish. This provoked categorical disagreement from other participants. An additional blow to the tournament's competitive integrity was the disqualification of one team after its player publicly confessed to using cheats.
The venue conditions also faced harsh criticism. Rosters were seated on stage right next to each other without any soundproof partitions, prompting questions directed at the organizers and Tencent regarding the allocated budget and the overall status of the tournament. Open dissatisfaction quickly escalated into direct verbal altercations with referees and officials. Players outright accused the management of running a scam, which became the fundamental reason for the protest. Teams A1, V7, and several other esports athletes refused to continue playing and demonstratively walked out of the gaming area. The emotional tension in the hall reached such a level that players were shouting at the staff, and one player broke his phone in frustration.
Due to a complete loss of control over the situation and the inability to guarantee safety and fair competitive conditions, the organizers officially canceled the remainder of the LAN finals. According to the official announcement, the remaining five games of the championship (Matches 8 to 12) have been postponed to August 30, 2026, and will take place exclusively online.
