On the night of January 23, Valve released a major update titled Old Gods, New Blood for its third-person MOBA Deadlock. The information was published on the game’s official website.
The developers added six new heroes. They will not all be available at once, but will be released gradually, two characters per week. The release order will be determined by player voting.
The update also introduced a new mode called Street Brawl, a short-format mode for two teams of four players. The team that wins three rounds first is declared the winner. In this mode, the item purchase system has been simplified: each round, players receive a predefined set of three items, farming is disabled, and everyone starts with equal resources.
The interface was also updated to be clearer and more readable. Changes affected damage indicators, boss health bars, timers, and other UI elements.
