Epic Games Store shares 2025 results and outlines plans for 2026

Epic Games Store has released its 2025 report, highlighting record user numbers and strong growth in third-party game spending, alongside a roadmap for 2026.

Key Epic Games Store stats for 2025

  • 972 million cross-platform accounts (+8%)
  • 317 million PC users
  • 78 million monthly active users in December an all-time high
  • 67 million average monthly active users
  • 31 million daily active users

Revenue and player activity

  • $1.16 billion spent by PC players (+6%)
  • $400 million spent on third-party PC games (+57%)
  • 6.65 billion hours of total playtime
  • 2.78 billion hours spent in third-party titles (+4%)
  • 35% of third-party playtime in games using custom payment systems

«Developers receive 100 percent of payments in their games, which means these record figures do not include several major live-service titles such as Marvel Rivals, Valorant and GTA V, as well as premium releases like EA SPORTS FC™ 26», — Epic Games said.

Free Games program highlights

  • 662 million free game claims
  • Over 77% of titles reached peak player numbers during giveaway weeks

The Epic Games Store catalog now features more than 6,000 games. Since June 2025, developers keep 100 percent of revenue from their first $1 million in annual net earnings per product, before the standard 88/12 revenue split applies.
