ExiT After NAVI’s Victory Over PCIFIC: “For Me, Pressure Is a Privilege”

The Natus Vincere VALORANT roster secured a 2-0 victory over PCIFIC Esports in their fifth match of the VCT EMEA Stage 2 group stage. Following the game, the team's new recruit, Abdullah "ExiT" Al-Twaijri, shared his thoughts on the series, discussed his visa issues, adaptation to the Tier 1 scene, and evaluated the potential of the updated roster.

Despite the final 2-0 scoreline, the player admitted that the victory was far from clean. The team gave away unnecessary rounds due to losing focus on small details, chaotic communication, and excessive improvisation. ExiT himself was struggling with stomach pain during the series, which also impacted his performance.

At the same time, the newcomer emphasized that the tournament is still in the group stage, where NAVI is actively testing a new system and experimenting with different ideas. The team's main goal remains reaching peak form for the playoffs and becoming the strongest team in the EMEA region.

The player's journey with NAVI was complicated by visa issues, which forced him to miss a significant portion of the season, including Stage 1, Stage 2, Masters Toronto, and Champions. The period of forced inactivity without practice was emotionally challenging; however, during the Esports World Cup (where the team finished top four and lost in the qualifier final), ExiT managed to improve significantly individually and build chemistry with his teammates.

Moving from the MENA region to the Tier 1 division required adaptation both off and on the server:

• Outside the game: The biggest challenge was moving away from Saudi Arabia, where he had lived for 20 years, and leaving his family and friends behind.
• In-game: At the Tier 1 level, every small mistake is instantly punished by opponents, completely shifting the momentum of a map (as seen in matches against PCIFIC and FUT Esports).

ExiT views the high expectations of playing for NAVI positively. According to him, pressure serves as a privilege and a motivating factor, as he represents one of the most iconic organizations in FPS history. The player assured that the team is working at 200% every single day to qualify for international events, especially Champions.

Currently, NAVI's main task is to translate their high quality of play from practice sessions into official stage matches. ExiT also expressed hope for the growth of the MENA scene, noting that next year's updated tournament system and the end of franchising will create many more opportunities for talented players from his region.
