Bethesda has released a new Fallout promotional video titled Best Buddies, starring Aaron Moten. The actor is best known for playing Maximus in Amazon Prime Video’s Fallout series.
In the advert, Moten spends time with Fallout mascot Vault Boy while playing classic entries from the franchise, including Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, Fallout Shelter, Fallout 76 and Fallout 4.
During the video, Moten tells Vault Boy:
«Any time I need to get away, you’re there. Always down for an adventure in the Wasteland. It really makes me appreciate you.».
The ad arrives alongside a limited time free to play period for Fallout 76, celebrating the Burning Springs update. The update introduces Walton Goggins’ Ghoul to the game universe for the first time. Meanwhile, Fallout Shelter has launched its new season titled The House Always Wins, inspired by Fallout New Vegas.
Amid this, fans are actively speculating about a possible surprise announcement of a remaster for Fallout 3 or Fallout New Vegas. A mysterious countdown on a dedicated Fallout website ended around the same time the Season 2 finale of the series was released, while backend updates have reportedly appeared on the games’ Steam pages.
Even before the premiere of the second season, Amazon confirmed the series would continue. Fallout has officially been renewed for a third season, with production set to begin in summer 2026. Producer Todd Howard noted that the show has more creative freedom than a single game. According to Aaron Moten, the creators are considering extending Fallout to six seasons. In addition, a reality show spin-off inspired by the Big Brother format is currently in development.
