Far Cry Primal has received 60 frames per second support on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The game joins Far Cry 3 and Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon, which previously received free updates enabling higher frame rates on modern consoles.
This update effectively completes the transition of almost the entire classic Far Cry lineup to 60 FPS on new generation hardware. The 2016 spin off set in 10,000 BC, with a strong focus on survival, crafting, and taming animals, has become the final entry in the franchise to receive such an upgrade.

To celebrate the updates, Far Cry 3, Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon, and Far Cry Primal are currently available with major discounts on the PlayStation Store. All three titles can also be played on PC via a Ubisoft+ subscription, on Xbox through Ubisoft+ Premium or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, and on PlayStation with a Plus Extra or Premium subscription.
