First Look at the God of War Adaptation: Amazon Unveils Kratos and Atreus

Amazon has revealed the first official image from its upcoming series based on the video game franchise God of War.

The lead role of Kratos is played by Ryan Hurst (known for the series Sons of Anarchy and The Walking Dead), while the role of his son Atreus has been given to young actor Callum Vinson.

The cast also includes:

• Max Parker — Heimdall;
• Ólafur Darri Ólafsson — Thor;
• Mandy Patinkin — Odin;
• Alastair Duncan — Mimir;
• Danny Woodburn and Jeff Gulka — the brothers Brok and Sindri;
• Ed Skrein — Baldur.

“Father and son. Take a look at the first image of Kratos and Atreus from the God of War series, which is currently in production,” Amazon stated.

Filming for the series for Amazon Prime Video is currently underway in Vancouver.

Amazon has ordered two seasons at once. The plot will cover the events of the last two games in the series (the Norse saga), where Kratos raises his son and battles the gods of the North.

As a reminder, Heroic won DracuLan Season 5, while 100 Thieves became the silver medalists.
