Players of Fortnite are still exploring the new season, but the flow of content is not slowing down, as one of the most iconic collaborations in the game’s history appears to be making a comeback.
Developer Epic Games has become famous for large-scale crossovers with major franchises, although this approach was not always central to the game. One particular event marked a turning point, and now it is being teased once again.

The collaboration with Avengers: Endgame is expected to return alongside the launch of Fortnite OG Season 8 on April 1, bringing players back to Chapter 1 Season 8 and potentially reviving a fan-favorite limited-time mode.
Back in 2019, this crossover introduced a mode where players were split into two teams, Avengers and Chitauri. Recently, Fortnite’s official social media account shared a teaser dated April 3, showing a character holding Captain America’s shield with the tagline «Whatever it takes».
This strongly suggests that the Endgame LTM could return this week, bringing back what many consider one of Fortnite’s most memorable collaborations.
In the mode, the Avengers team had to eliminate 150 Chitauri enemies to disable their respawns before finishing them off along with Thanos. Meanwhile, the Chitauri needed to collect all Infinity Stones and eliminate the opposing team.
Once all stones were collected, a player would transform into Thanos, gaining powerful abilities including melee attacks, an energy beam, and a ground slam from the air.
Both sides also had access to unique weapons, such as Captain America’s Shield, Hawkeye’s Bow, Iron Man’s Repulsors, Thor’s Stormbreaker, as well as Chitauri weaponry.
This collaboration originally paved the way for the many major crossovers that now define Fortnite, and its return is likely to draw a massive number of players once again.

As a Reminder, Warhorse may be developing a Lord of the Rings game after Kingdom Come II success.
