The founder of the GSC Game World studio, Serhii Hryhorovych, published a statement in which he said that he no longer has any involvement with GSC or the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series. He is now focused on his new game — S.T.R.A.N.G.E.R. Bermuda SOS.
“The era of the Zone is officially over. It’s time for new music. Many of you know me, Serhii Hryhorovych, as the founder of GSC Game World and the ‘father’ of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. universe. It was a great past that I respect, but the Zone has remained in history. Today I declare: I no longer have any connection to GSC or the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. projects.
I am not one of those who lives in the past. My creative energy, my drive, and my experience no longer belong to the Zone. I am leaving the game. To start a new one.
