This fall, the StarCraft legend and symbol of the Ukrainian gaming scene, Oleksiy White-Ra Krupnyk, announces his autobiographical book, a heartfelt story following the journey from the courtyards of Odesa to the global StarCraft arenas, exploring the philosophy of the game, the power of community, and the inspiration that never fades even in the toughest times.

In his book, White-Ra warmly and openly shares memories of his childhood by the Black Sea, the first computer clubs, the birth of Ukrainian esports in the ’90s, and the atmosphere of those early days, fueled by enthusiasm and faith. It tells the story of the first local tournaments, legendary matches against BoxeR, MC, IdrA, hundreds of victories and defeats, and the people who became part of the great StarCraft family.

The book reveals Oleksiy’s personal philosophy - viewing the game not just as competition but as a path to growth, partnership, and mutual respect. His phrase “More GG, more skill” has become a symbol of positive gaming worldwide.

Special emphasis is placed on White-Ra’s Twitch era: twelve years in the partnerships department supporting hundreds of well-known streamers and helping build a new content creator industry. For the first time, unique tips for streamers on diversity, audience engagement, and effective streaming strategies will be published.

Deeply touching are the memories of volunteer support for Ukraine, community backing during the war, and reflections on how gaming shapes character and unites people, giving hope even in the hardest times.

The printed edition of the book is scheduled for early 2026. The book’s co-author is Ukrainian gaming and esports journalist Alex Kharchenko, former Editor-In-Chief of the Ukrainian esports media outlet Players.

Alongside the book announcement, an official campaign launches on the crowdfunding platform Kickstarter, aiming to find support for publishing the autobiography. Fans, gamers, and all those who care are invited to join the project and become part of the community shaping the history of global esports.

“I want to share my story so that everyone can feel the spirit of the ’90s, understand how it all started, how esports unites people, builds character, and offers a real chance to change lives. This is not just my story - it’s part of esports history and a tribute to everyone who helped build this community.

However, it’s impossible to do this alone. That is why I’m launching a Kickstarter campaign to gather support from fans and everyone who cares. By supporting this project, you help publish this book so that the new generation of gamers and dreamers can learn what it means to never give up, believe in their strength, and always play with an open heart.

Thank you for your support, friendship, and faith. Together, we can inspire a new generation of players. We write book then defend it,” says Oleksiy White-Ra Krupnyk.
